Being As An Ocean
We shout up at the sky
Until our mouths are bloody and dry
Screaming out in a god that is apparently blind
Towards the suffering people here below; those pushed aside
Browse around and witness the body weight of the darkness
I will guarantee that ignorance will not be bliss
And simply because we've adorned our eyes with such arrogance
Does not mean the unspeakable will cease
Wicked men hoarding necessities
Trivium
While their fellow men die of disease and sickness
Our kids are still starving
Doubled over in pain from your grumbling
Dying loved ones whither and fade
The person we knew stripped away
(All we like will fade
All we like is stripped away)
Men killing their dearest in a fit of rage
Instead of putting the past behind, turning a brand new page
Mothers drown their baby's in their sleep
As a reprieve cause they don't know next time they'll eat
Screamo
We still defile and abuse the innocent
Like things to be sold or owned
prostitution and Slavery is no place for a nine year old
So, rage, cry out at the angry sky
Allow the emotion fall from the eyes
I let you know the facts
YHWH rages with you
He hears your frantic pleas
Trust me when i state, "He or she is not some distant thing! "
You might just hear Him breath if you're quiet for awhilee
He's stood in the bedside of the lowly
Shoulders heaving, His head in the hands
Grieving having a Father's heart, visit retrieve another wayward lamb
It's as much as us to keep each others' dignity
Recognize we've chosen a bad enemy
Hate, ignorance, and inhumanity are what we should should be battling
Now's the time for knowledge
Now's time for Truth
Humanity has now suffered so much abuse
We should assume responsibilty, and get rid of apathy
Unlearn society's teachings
To get blind and selfish
Because whatever you must learn
Is that the concern is us
